Mga Bagong Bayani: Dapat Ligtas sa HIV

Featuring actors Pen Medina and Eugene Domingo, this 33-minute video provides basic information about HIV and AIDS and explains the vulnerabilities of OFWs.  Intended for distribution to OFWs, the video also provides precautions to prevent HIV infection and discusses its impact on OFWs.

ANG PAGBABALIK NI LEO

This illustrated pamphlet tells the story of a seafarer (Leo) who is sent home after testing positive for HIV. It narrates the process by which he and his family dealt with the infection and how he was able to cope and survive the initial stages of depression, guilt and anger. The pamphlet also provides basic information about HIV and AIDS.

ABOT-KAMAY: Gabay para sa HIV/AIDS Counselors para sa mga OFWs

This booklet is a handy tool for OFWs, especially those who are living with HIV, who want to learn the basics of peer counseling. It also includes a resource list of HIV service providers.

HIV COUNSELING AND TESTING; A training Manual for Clinics for Overseas Workers

This publication was produced in collaboration with the STD/AIDS Cooperative Central Laboratory of the San Lazaro Hospital (SACCL-SLH). It is a reference material to the  HIV pre-test and post-test counseling training given to medical staff of diagnostic clinics and laboratories. 

POSITIVE RESPONSE: A Guidebook on Handling Migration and HIV/AIDS Issues for Foreign Service Personnel

This guidebook was produced as a supplement material to the trainings and seminars that ACHIEVE has been conducting for the Foreign Service Institute of the Department Foreign Affairs (DFA) during the Pre-departure Orientation Seminar (PDOS) of foreign service personnel and the Cadetship Programme of new foreign service officers. Positive Response contains information about HIV and AIDS and provides guidelines and tools in handling cases of HIV and AIDS among OFWs when they are in the jobsite.

FOR GOOD: Life Stories of Filipino Migrant Workers Living with HIV

This publication contains life stories of 11 former OFWs who have been diagnosed with HIV. It also includes an analysis of the data generated from the case studies, specifically looking at HIV vulnerabilities at the pre-employment (pre-departure) and employment stages (post-arrival) and the impact of HIV infection during the reintegration process. For Good, provides recommendations for programme and policy action to reduce HIV vulnerability of OFWs and mitigate the impact on those already infected.

TAKING CONTROL: A Discussion Guide on Gender, Reproductive Health, Migration and HIV/AIDS for Female Spouses of Migrant Workers

This instructional material is intended for trainers and facilitators who want to deepen their knowledge on the issues of gender, RH, Migration and HIV/AIDS and build their capacity in facilitation or conducting seminars and trainings for female spouses of migrant workers.

This guidebook intends to deepen the knowledge and understanding of female spouses and partners of migrant workers on issues related to of gender, RH, Migration and HIV/AIDS. It contains a detailed discussion on the various life skills that they need to learn and have in order to prevent HIV infection.
